Then again who on the rearth can forget Steve "Iceman" Waugh who always was on the "Waugh Path" along with his twin. Real Blood & Guts. Never to be equalled.

Steve Waugh won 41 of his 57 tests as captain, the most test vicories by one captain. Ponting does have the best % but he's only won 35 tests so far.

well its a testing question , but my vote certainly goes to steve waugh - dat man achieved everything in his illustrious career - be it batting milestones ( he has in excess of 10,000 runs and 30 centuries ) , he made australia d best from a very gud side in his time , he has won and retained d ashes , won a world cup , almost abolished d existence of a night watchman and continued 2 attack even under pressure - he also laid gr8 emphasis on fieldin which tilted things in d aussies' favour in 50-50 conditions , above all i hav seen him lose very less matches as captain and his bowling changes wer d best one can come across - a true legend wasnt he
