Practice does make a person perfect but you have to be a perfectionist.Most of us go slack after reaching a certain level of proficiency and that level may be acceptable to us or others but surely is not a mark of perfection.Some times,a life time may not not be enough to achieve perfection.Any way, try again and things are likely to better this time.Good luck.

you're right, nobody's perfect. wish someone will tell my ex that.
anyway what I think the saying implies is not for you to be perfect, but for what your trying to do, be perfect.
it's like the saying " measure twice, cut once "
when playing golf, pool, archery and things like that, if you don't practice, you may as well give it up.
