I don't think that you can get better than London if we are talking about an overall great city.

Barcelona is on a big slope, so you can see over the whole city from nearby hills, and it has beaches nearby and better weather. Also bizarre architecture, but it can be noisy and smoky and lack the variety that London has. If you're a big partier and late night-owl you'd probably enjoy Barcelona more.
Neither city is really friendly.
Barcelona would be a bit cheaper.
They're both very large, so you'll have endless choices of things to do. For fashion, music, and shopping, I'd pick London, but dress for rain.

Both are great. I like Barcelona better, good food, better weather, nice atmosphere. The whole city is just more relaxed than London. Barcelona is good to go out as well.

For charm, it has to be Barcelona. As a world class city, it would be London. ~
Also Barcelona has edible food, which is sadly lacking in London (except for a few 'foreign' restaurants).

london is great but I love barcelona its charming, has tons to do,great night life, and great pople.London i very expensive
