Let's see... a PERCEIVED civil war? You should give back the drugs that you got from Rush Limbaugh. And I'm a moderate - not a liberal. The Shias and the Sunnis have hated each other for centuries - "perceived" my derriere. BTW: The Darfur attackers are also Muslim extremists, and they are killing Christians.

Because we didn't invade THAT country and overthrow their government, destroying their water, electric and utilities and enraging huge parts of the citizenry, thus further endangering our troops.

Having done all those things in Iraq has compounded the mess, and made our troops the main target of all the angry folks.

In Darfur, we might be perceived as neutral peacekeepers; providing the troops don't blow it by misinterpretting their assignment there.

That said, I think it's far too late for us to help much in Darfur.
