What a loaded question.

Yes, it is better to move into a rented house with no job and limited money...if the other option is on the street with no job and limited money. But, I doubt that you will find anyone that will rent a house to you without a job...unless you have enough cash.

With no job and limited money, good luck finding a landlord willing to take a risk on you. I certainly would not!

Get yourself on a sound financial footing before even thinking about striking out on your own. Most financial planners recommend that you have at least 6 months worth of ordinary expenses in liquid funds to consider yourself financially sound. If you don't even have a job yet, you have a long way to go before you can realistically think of moving out on your own.

Stay at home until you get a job, then decide from there.

If you have never lived on your own, a house may not be the way to go immediately.
