At the end of the Matrix you see Neo carried off by the machines is he dead or will he be back part machine part human. For in the first Matrix he is told that he will put an end to war and free the wold from the Matrix, He did the first but did not free the world from the Matrix as seen with the three reps from machine looking at a sunset at end of films.

Yes, Neo is dead. He sacrificed himself. In the last scene with the Architect and the Oracle, the Architect says that people plugged into the Matrix will be released if they desire. Zion is saved and the humans and machines can co-exist with peace. A lot of people tie in the religious symbolism. The sunrise in the end scene was done by the little girl(program) from when Neo was stuck in the train station in between the matrix and reality. The Oracle asks her if she made it, and the girl said she made it for Neo. The people plugged into the Matrix are allowed to be released, thus freeing them from battery-slavery, and the machines still get to exist from the people who stay. And the Architect even said that they (machines) have other ways of survival without the humans.
When the Oracle in the end says that they will see Neo again, that can be interpreted as a religious reference. Neo as Christ being ressurected after his sacrifice. There won't be another Matrix movie, the trilogy is done. Neo is dead. Trinity is dead. Machines are cool.

NOT SURE i think they left the 3rd one like to keep an opening for a 4th you can never tell with hollywood nowadays so i hope he did not die and they do make a forth the matrix movies are awesome we had 3 cats at one time matrix morphius and oracle well take care and let me know if YOU hear anything about a forth movie take care

he died in the last one its a trilogy there are not gonig to be anymore movies
he gave his life so those in Zion could be free from war, its hinted at the end of the movie when he knows he won't be coming back, if he was alive then he would have been at the end of the movie not the oracle

i think the film makers wanted you decide for yourself if you thought he was dead or not, i think he is not, he came back from the dead in the metrix and that movie he had gain the same powers he contained in martix out side of it. so who really knows

i think in the movie Noe was like a Jesus and at the end was view as a god like figure so maybe like in the bibble he will be resurrected and come back, because peace doesn't last forever.

neo is not dead. but i think they will making a final matrix to finsih it of.
they took him away and they did it so carefully that i cam sure they are not going to kill him. just heal him. cos he is meant to be the one!!
