This link will give you a full explanation of cache. It is merely a history of sites you have visited - your history. To view them, just click the History button. If you save them, they use up disk space and slow you down a bit. For myself, I have mine set not to store at all - they are cleared at shutdown. To do this, go to Tools, Internet Options.
Delete Cookies
Delete files (click to delete offline files)
Clear History
set days to keep pages in history to 0 -- if, in fact, that is what your want.

Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Cleanup. Select your drive click ok. Click on Temporary Internet Files and then click open.
