I suppose it doesn't really matter..... but how do you go from such a likeable true blue kind of man like Bob Barker? To then consider the likes of Rosie O'Donnell? She is too gruff and unpolished. My whole family has said they will never watch it again and either will I if she is chosen. What do you think?

I can't see how Rosie can be in such a position long because she will probably argue with the producers and staff and insist on running things HER way or huff out like she always does. If she does manage to stay she will find some way to turn the show into her own political platform and ruin the whole program for everyone except her die-hard supporters.

I feel that they should just cancel the show especially since they will never find anyone to replace Bob Barker after a 30 year stint. To me the show WAS Bob Barker, as much as it was 'The Price is Right'. As one of the prior responders said about "Family Feud' after Richard Dawson retired, it was never as good. One of the other candidates besides Rosie was John O'Hurley. Gosh, darn, he stunk as host of Family Feud. George Hamilton, I don't think is a good fit either, or CBS morning weatherman Dave Price. The show will never be the same ever again. So let it RIP.

Bob Barker wants Rosie to take his place. I can't think of a better endorsement than that. I think the real question is: will Rosie be willing to do it? I know she loves The Price is Right but it may not be worth it at this point in her life. I wouldn't mind seeing Rosie as the host of that show.

I'm not bothered by it at all because she's not going to be the new host. She was turned down. She said so in her blog. This is a rumor Barker started himself saying he thought she could handle it. Time for him to just go away.

I might watch...it's not like The View, she won't have much of a chance to put her foot in her mouth.

I think Bob Eubanks should take over. He is getting up there, but he was always a great game show host.

Wink Martindale would be another good choice.

I hate to see a classic show like Price is Right go down the hill that quickly if Rosie becomes host. She is too loud and brash and makes outlandish comments. She does not have what it takes to host TPIR. They need to consider one of the other people mentioned like George Hamilton or John O'Hurley. She probably would help increase ratings with the lesbo crowd though, lol
