The Flying Spaghetti Monster Theory
"We have evidence that a Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe. None of us, of course, were around to see it, but we have written accounts of it. We have several lengthy volumes explaining all details of His power. Also, you may be surprised to hear that there are over 10 million of us, and growing. We tend to be very secretive, as many people claim our beliefs are not substantiated by observable evidence. What these people don’t understand is that He built the world to make us think the earth is older than it really is. For example, a scientist may perform a carbon-dating process on an artifact. He finds that approximately 75% of the Carbon-14 has decayed by electron emission to Nitrogen-14, and infers that this artifact is approximately 10,000 years old, as the half-life of Carbon-14 appears to be 5,730 years. But what our scientist does not realize is that every time he makes a measurement, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage. We have numerous texts that describe in detail how this can be possible and the reasons why He does this. He is of course invisible and can pass through normal matter with ease."

There are hundreds of various creation myths, but none of them are 'theories'. A theory is testable and predictable and falsifable, and none of the creation myths have that going for them.
The only two real scientific theories about how the universe was created are the big bang and now less popular steady state.
But you said 'world'. By that did you mean the universe or the Earth? Because there's a big difference. The leading theory for how the Earth was created is the solar nebula theory, but if you look that up you'll find a few more.

Creationism (or Creation) is NOT a theory; it is not the product of the scientific method, and it is not disprovable, as any theory must be. There is no observable evidence of a Creation by a Creator.
The Big Bang theory is the most viable theory we have. There are some great links that deal with this and alternative theories about the origin of the universe.

The world was formed my accretion of matter that was scattered in space by a supernova explosion. It wasn´t created by the big bang. The big bang and the formation of our solarsystem are two very different events separated by 9.2 billion years.
And the formation of the earth by accretion of matter is not theory. We can see the same thing happen in nearby nebulae where new solarsystems are being born.

Well, there's really only one scientific view, which of course, is the big bang.
Under mythology: you already have creationism, but go ahead and do a Google (or Yahoo) search using "Creation Myths".
You'll find dozens of other tales from dozens of other cultures.
Good Luck

We can't really prove any creation myths and theories because no one has true evidence on any of the ideas, but i have to go with the spagetti monster theory i believe that one.
