Al Sharpton is the only man who could start a march at one point, change the subject of the protest in the middle of the march and end the march with exactly the opposite opinion on both topics by the end.

He is a divider and encourages people to judge one another by the color of their skin and the level of their education and not by the content of their character or their love for one another.

As for his father, I am betting it was either George Wallace or Wilt Chamberline.

It's sad that Al would use fathers day to promote a political agenda. But I guess that's what Sharpton & Jackson are all about.

I struggle to find the sophisticated joke here. He has no dad, so he'd protest father's day, just as he has no _____ and he has protested what? The 4th of July? Christmas?

Please, make your clever point more clear. Otherwise, this seems just a pointless smear. Of course, it is no crime of his that he doesn't know who his father is.

Al Sharpton has a long, public career. It is possible to criticize him - that is, not to insult, but to analyze and comment upon - in many areas. Why not work with that?

Watching C-Span in a hotel in Georgia, I was surprised to find myself rather moved by a Sharpton speech in 2000 that challenged candidates Gore and Bush to use the authority they already had to make differences regarding police brutality.

Sharpton went on in that speech to rebuke a large segment of black society that has been, Sharpton thundered, wandering in the wilderness for the 40 years since Martin brought them to the Promised Land. He condemned the hip hop/gangster culture and called upon "his people" to live up to the promise of their dream and to reach out to and help those struggling to do it.

Like any person bold enough to put himself out there, and like any person morally flexible enough to be a politician, AL SHarpton has made spectacular gaffes and may hold positions you don't agree with. I admire the man. After I saw him interviewed by Stephen Colbert during the 2004 campaign, I just liked how clever and in the moment he is and true to himself he is.

Only if he can get Jesse Jackson to be his protest partner. Oh, I forgot, Jackson is busy fathering out of wedlock children. What a great example to the black people who would be a noble people again if they had some real leaders, not race baiters.

That is cold, Paul. Even if I don't like Mr. Sharpton.

It's not true Al Sharpton didn't know who his mother was. She showed him a big Rolodex and said, "Well kid, it's probably one of these".

Sheesh, that was really mean of me. Feel free to send the thumbs down my way.

I would LOVE to see AL protesting at HIS MOTHER'S HOUSE because SHE was the one who was "easy" and did not get married before having him.

Then after that he will go lead a vigil on Martin Luther King Drive for all the fatherless kids in the hood like he was.

Do I sound harsh - sure but this is reality If they don't like REALITY they can CHANGE IT!!!!!!!!!!! And you know what - I would gladly help.

Probably. It has been a few days since he has made an attempt to divide black and white Americans.

That is really hitting below the belt. Everyone had or has a Father, you didn't have to go there with that. Stop spreading lies, and hate. It does not become you. Peace and Love

Happy Father's Day to you, and to all the other Father's out there. Have a good day.

You don't need to know who your father is to be as SHARP as he is.
