It's not Black or White .. but Blacker or Whiter
We seek for absolutes in a relative world.
But if in doubt, Give ... be more giving.
Decide which is the more responsible thing to do.
Which path reinforces the values of life you would admit to in front of the person you respect the most?
Sometimes, we will feel driven to go against what is "politically correct". That is the time we show our strength of Character.

im supposed to say it is written on your heart. but i understand. Value is the key word. In a sense we must put a value on what we find enjoyable in life. Peace for example, has a price, sometimes paid for in blood, which therefore it is of great value. For people will give their life to achieve it, just so someone else can enjoy it. I guess you must determine the value of the consequences of your actions and weigh the results against its objective. A rule of thumb would be, if your desires have a positive effect on people, that is good. If they have a negative effect, they are bad. In order to be evil, I think you have to have bad intentions from the start. We all make mistakes, that's part of living. And then there are the laws of the land, and they basically punish evil ways that infringe on other's rights to a secure and peaceful life, which most of us value. good question. maybe a true philosopher could have answered shorter.! by the way. Peace be with you....

Wisdom is of value.
One determines Right and Wrong the same way one determines the right arm from the left arm. You are told that the right arm is here and you believe it. Why do you believe it? The right arm could easly be the left and the left could easly be the right. Its the fact that everyone agrees on what is right and left that makes it easyer for you to accept it as truth even tho it could be not truth easly.
Is killing ever good? Is killing ever evil? We believe what others tell us more often then not. Its only untill we think about it ourselfs do we realize the reality of it all. We are totaly out of control and our only hope for gaining control is the... Why? But then the question comes why does one need to be in control? And the whole matrix breaks down and the robot city is destroyed!!!
Honestly tho these are really questions you need to ask yourself first whats good and evil, whats right and whats wrong. Find your answers first then go check them with other peoples answers if you wish. But be careful for bending yourself to fit others its the fastest way to lose yourself. I should know I have bent myself around the world at least twice now.

Ask your heart as well as your mind! The mind shows you the obvious and the heart tells you what hurts! If you try to be good as a person can be by being honest, kind, generous, respectful, considerate, not greedy and to know how to love and appease hatred, then you, yourself, will never have to choose between right and wrong. The logic of it is understand what good is! If I ask you whether murdering is good and you say yes then you're obviously evil! Be good is all I can tell you. That's the best way of not getting on the wrong path! (That is if you want to be good!)
Thank you :-)

Value is what you are. This determines everything. The principles we need to know cannot be discovered until one accepts that one (and everything) is made of value. This provides a single realistically correct perspective for which principles can be identified. They are non-contradiction, (internal) honesty and respect. Non-contradiction is used to identify what is true. If you are to be meaningfully real you cannot hold contradiction as they insure self-negation. Honesty is necessary to understand yourself and respect is the moderator of relationship. Together they determine what is good.

You determine what is good and right by your intentions behind an action(s). Selfish intentions make something wrong. Good is the only thing with value. When something good is done, it brings long-term satisfaction that may not be present at first.

good and evil, right and wrong and what is of value are relative to the point of view of each individual.Kind of like the picture thaat turned one way is a Beautiful Princess and then spun around it is an Ugly Old Witch;it just depends on your Perspective......their is ultimately no "right or wrong"

yin yang..Yin and yang are seen as two opposing principles which are basic to everything in reality and to reality itself. Yin is the feminine power, characterized by darkness, passivity and cold. Yang is the masculine power, characterized by light, activity and heat. Together, they make up ch'i and, when in equilibrium, govern a person's moral and physical health.

I can only say that you should watch "Titanic," then forget about the question and continue living.
You don't have to watch Titanic, if you don't want, I wouldn't.
