Women should start families when they want to. The birthrate in the US is not the fault of feminism. Look at the birthrates around the world- they're all dropping. Infant mortality used to be a big problem- it's not anymore. Families used to loose a child or two, now it's rare for a child to not make it to maturity. That's not considering the decrease in farming families, the cost of education and the fact that parents are often responsible for their kids until their mid-20s instead of their teens. Please go back to school, do some research and learn some grammar.

"America is overpopulated"

Since when has AMERICA been overpopulated?!

You CAN'T be serious! Do you have ANY idea how much food we OVERPRODUCE every year? It sits in bins because we can't use all of it! Add that to the fact that we have land all over the United States in EVERY SINGLE STATE that still isn't being used...

No, the United States may be overpopulated in 3035 or something like that, but it's not happening any time soon.

Anyways, to answer the question... no. Women can choose if they want to take birth control or not- I am surprised that people have a problem with that. Abortion should be the only "contraceptive" that is considered an issue.

My "Ex" always read "Playboy" & "Maxim"

The Irony in these publications is that they use naked women to sell idea's against naked women ... okay so (giggle) ... there was this article that said that women who take birth control are putting men on the birth control causing men to have more estrogen. They explained this as when a woman pee's (who's taken B.C.P's) it gets into the water. Sure the "Water Company" cleans the water from urine, but I guess that the Birth Control drug is so potent (as described in this naked woman mag) that it contaminates clean water; putting every man, woman, & child on the B.C.P!

Anyways, this resulted in me following him (my "Ex") to Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage, and any place that sells organic ... and he'd throw the article into their faces begging for water he could drink that wouldn't pump him with estrogen because he was afraid of man boobs!!! I was amused then ... and still giggling about the unique experience I got from an article in a naked girl publication condeming Birth Control Pills.

I did not know that making families was a high priority for today's young men. I also did not know that you see birth control as a barrier to your goals. Surely when you find the right woman to spend you life with, she will offer you her fertile womb when the time is right. If she does not want children, then she is not the right match for you.

My friend, I do not have the right to pass a judgement about your opinions on birth control. But wouldn't you think that making a family is a great responsibility which should be shouldered by two determined individuals? You and the rest of the world have the right to make families if they wanted to.

Just remember that it is not young men like yourself, who alone make the families and making a family is not only about making children. :o)

the problem is that males in general need to accept that there are women out there with ambition - to succeed in the mans world, and having children is used against women. women want to have chldren, well, most, but its a matter of feeling that they have also managed to achieve other things as well. there are so many single parents out there that really, making families is hardly a problem.

No...if you want a baby so bad then adopt one (and raise it on your own if you don't have a wife/girlfriend...tell me how you like it seeing as how if you actually HAD a baby, the woman would take care of it more.)

Forget it! If you want to make a family, either adopt a child or find a woman who wants to have one with you. The rest of us are perfectly content without them.

You act as if all men who get a women pregnant will actually stick around to raise the family.

Some women don't want to have children...some want to wait.

What does feminism have to do with birth control? And America is overpopulated, so why is it wrong anyway?
