No. The Red Sox had it locked from the moment they came back on the first Yankee game from 6-2 in the 8th off of Rivera. That showed The Sox have more heart than the Yanks. The Sox also have better pitching and should easilly win the division even if the Yanks are hot right now. Beckett should win the Cy Young. There is no MVP in Bostons lineup but they hit well as a team and Drew and Manny should get hot any time now.

Sadly enough but yes they do. They are the Yankees look at that lineup. Remember it is only June, there is still more than half the season to play. This happens every year. This year they are just starting a little later, but look how hot they have been over the last few weeks even if it is against the weaker NL.

I think it was Yogi Berra who said," It ain't over 'till its over."
Until they are mathematically eliminated, ALL teams have a chance. Whether it is a GOOD chance is something entirely different.
With their lack of pitching depth, I do not think the Yankees can come back from as far back as they are to beat as many teams as they must beat for the AL wild card, which is their most likely chance.

What people fail to realize is this: any team that makes it into postseason can win the Series. Look at what the Cards did last year. I don't think New York will catch Boston for the division but who cares. If New York gets into the postseason all they have to do is get hot and they'll win 11 games in the postseason. Torre, Jeter, Posada, Petitte, and Clemens, all have the postseason experience to pull it off.

yes- for one, its only june, don't start going and printing your millwakee brewers world series tickets just yet. they were 14.5 back of the BoSox just last week, now they've gained 6 games. realistically, they won't have many weeks in which they gain that many games, but if they can keep a steady pace, they can gain a few at a time, and they still have many games to come against the redsox. the yankees hitting is finally there and their rotation is coming together. Im not worried just yet

ya, yankees rule-they are 8.5 games back from the red sox and 5 from the wild card and they are on fire to top it all off-all of their pitchers are pulling through-they can catch the red sox (they were 13.5 games back a week ago)
