LaHaye and Jenkins of the "Left Behind" series are excellent. Frank Paretti is great; "This Present Darkness". Janette Oaks "Love Comes Softly". These are a few fictional authors. If you log on to Crossings.com they have hundreds of Christian books to choose from; fiction and non-fiction.

The Bible is the only book you should read as a Christian. Any other book written by a 'Christian' author is only succumbing to the evils and temptaion of the world to imitate it. Good Christians should never read anything else, and the Bible has every story in it anyway, no other book can compare.

So far, my favorite Christian authors are Roger Elwood and Ellen Gunderson Traylor. I haven't seen anything from Traylor recently, but her older stuff is pretty good.
