It's okay, it just proves that maybe you're more mature than your age. It's good to have them around as well, since they have more experiences to share with you and all. Don't mind whatever other people are saying, who cares, right? As long asyou're good with your pals, there isn't really a problem about it.

I think it's a no, no. One or two friends that are that much older than you, maybe. Having friends older than you doesn't make you cool or anything, it just makes people think you are older than you really are. Like guys for instance. If you are hanging around these older people, guys are gonna start to think you are as old as your friends. Don't get caught up in that kind of stuff. You are only 14, stay 14 as long as you can, 'cause when you are an adult your gonna wish you had stayed young for as long as possible. Don't grow up too soon. Life will still be there when your an adult.

It's pretty risky.

They COULD be decent people & you spending time with them may not be a bad thing. But they could be having fun at your expense.

From my perspective - aged 44yo, I've met plenty of under 25yo's who were NOT mature adults (some were, some weren't). They could manipulate you in ways you might not even realise.

Do your parents know who you're hanging out with ? Parents can be a real pain. But most of the time, they are your safety net - they will pretty much always make the safe choice for you.

If you don't do anything else - # 1, Do tell your parents where you're going & 2. if these people try to get you to do anything you don't feel right doing - DO NOT DO IT !

One or two friends of that age may be a good thing, if they are good role models. More then that will just lead you into all sorts of trouble, some you can imagine and some you have never even dreamed of!
What do your parents think of this? Have them meet these friends and decided if you are safe hangin out with them, parents tend to see things a little clearer in most cases!
Please be careful, there is only ONE you............ try not to hurt yourself in any way, Lord knows there is enough hurt in this world, without you getting into something that may be over your head!

Immaturity is the only reason an 18 year old girl would want a 14 year old boyfriend.

Depends what your doing when your hanging out really.
I always hung out with people allot older then me when I was 14.
However I was extremely wild, and started getting into drugs, around that age,so indeed my intended purpose for hanging out with these people was so I could get what I wanted from them, and I did.
So this is totally up to you.You need to evaluate why it is that you are hanging out with people that much older then you,and are these people role models,or the dregs of society, that no parent would want their child hanging around?
Because If you are hanging out with losers, chances are your going to end up just like them.
If you are hanging out with people who have something to offer that doesn't consist of alcohol or drugs, and are "mentors" in some kind of positive way, then I see nothing wrong with it,except for the fact that on a regular basis, that is really to much of an age difference, and I can only see it going one way and that is to fast for a 14 year old.

It's not a bad thing if they are good role models for you! My adult gut feeling though is these kids are only hanging out with a 14 year old because they themselves are still acting like 14 year olds...getting in trouble, doing stupid things etc. No offense O:)

A 14 year old girl should have 14 year old friends. Dont try to grow up too fast. It kinda makes you look like a wanna be and a whore.

nobody would pay attention to it. nobody would care. it's just normal and it's actually a good thing to have friends from different age groups as long as they are good people. you can learn a lot from their experiences which you haven't had at your age.
