I have got the best solution to the problem!!! trust me! It works

Revise a page at a time.. spend15-30mins on important pages.... once you think you've learnt most.. grab a page... take the book away,,, write down a mini-essay of everything you can REMEMBER of what you've just went over.. *Always from memory*.. this helps it stay in your head more.. look over the page again..write a whole new mini-essay (should be more this time).. and move on to the next page when you think it's successfully typed into your brain..
I'm just finished doing my gcse's.. and this method REALLY helped me.. seriously i've never enjoyed learnin' new things so much..!! Ya gotta have self-discipline love!! lol

What always helped me was to wear myself out first. Go for a run, or get your weight lifting in. Then, maybe you won't be so anxious to move around a bunch.

Set up a good study environment. Study at a desk, not on your bed, since being on your bed is your body's clue to relax and sleep. Have good lighting. Try to be in a quiet place. Also, have a glass of water or other drink; when I feel like doing something, taking a sip is always helpful.

You do need to take breaks every now and then. Set goals for yourself, whether in terms of minutes or material. For example, study for 45 minutes, then take a 10 or 15 minute break. This helps your brain soak up what you've just studied, and it gives you a mental rest. It will help you retain things better and give you energy to keep going.

How you study is also important. Don't just read over material; this won't help you learn and remember. Instead, make flashcards or rewrite your notes. You can also try explaining the material to someone else (or to your wall), since explaining requires that you understand it. If you're studying for math, do some sample problems, or do old homework again.

Good luck!

It's all about being curious about what you're studying. Take an interest. Ask yourself questions. Stop and think about what you read. Studying skills should have been developed in the elementary school level. Yet teachers prefer to help the really good students, so the teacher themselves could look smart. Anyhow, take an active interest in what you're studying.
