Austalian/New Zealand etc. school year?

Will someone tell me when the school year starts and the holidays and when the school year ends down there?

In Australia the school year starts in the end of January and finishes in mid December.
School terms vary state to state.
Most mainland states have 4 terms. We get a week at Easter and 2 weeks the end of June and 2 weeks end of September. Our school terms are generally 10 to 11 weeks long.
Except in Tasmania where they only have 3 terms.

In Australia we start off the school year after a 6 week Christmas/summer break in late January or early February, depending on the state you live in. We have a 2 week break at Easter, another around the last week of June and 1st week of July, another usually the last week of September and 1st week of October and then back to the 6 weeks break again at Christmas, usually finishing school about December 15 (again depending on which state you live in).
