Just dont go into central london to eat and drink daily. It depends where your friend lives and the type of area, im form west london and the I can get a bottle of wine in edwards (ealing Broadway) for £5.99 before 8 mon-friday plus the food is cheap. eat in pubs, or go tescos and get some food shopping

Should be if your steady, £60 per week if your cooking your own food, eating out can cost if you go to expensive places but there are a lot of reasonable places to eat, book your sightseeing through coach companies and you can budget. So long as your not a typical female and love shopping, you will be ok! I know a lot of girls here who get in with a crowd and let the lads buy the drink, cheap night out cos the lads fall for it every time lol.

No, well it wouldn't be enough for me. That's only around £506 for two weeks. Ultimately you'll have to decide for yourself. But I'm sure you know that London is very expensive. Besides breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks everyday, If you wanted to buy yourself a few things or souvenirs for friends and family at home, it would be very tight.

Good luck and have fun!

I think it's enough, not having to pay for a hotel. Just don't take lots of taxis or buy too many drinks in clubs. IF you'll eat at home for breakfast and dinner, you can find lunch deals and have money left for souvenirs, new clothes, and day trips.

It depends on what you are going to do. If you are going to go out partying then no, it won't be (a pint will cost you around $4 - $5).

I would suggest that $1500 would be a safer amount to take.

Nope - the UK is very expensive compared to the US. Try to at least double that.

$1000 = £500.

Not enough. What will you do for the 2nd week?

That should be good especially since you don't have to spend on a hotel.
