My last period lasted 32 days. I have gone to the doctor and they say everything looks normal. I am tired of this. I started my period when I was 11. I only had one or two periods a year. The longest period I ever had lasted 3 months when I was 15. I am 28 now and the periods are coming more often but they are still lasting at least 3-4 weeks. Has anyone else ever heard of this problem? I have changed my diet several times. Any time I start exercising regularly, I get a period right away. Do you guys think that is weird. Exercising has definitely helped how many periods I have a year, but the length is still too long. I do not know if I should bother trying to conceive. I heard that if you have long cycles, you do not ovulate.

This is usually caused by hormone imbalances that usually occur around menopause. You need to go back to your doctor, or go see another one, because this could cause some problems for you.

Ask your doctor about taking birth control pills to regulate your period. Works for me.
