Because government is a self-perpetuating cesspool of corruption and self preservation.
Politics has used the 'divide and conquer' technique to insulate politicians by diverting attention to arguments over liberal v. conservative.
Look how many politicians go from one government job to another, over and over again.
Anyone who sides with either party has been duped.
Keep voting for the professional politicians and it will only get worse.
Vote for Ron Paul or any Libertarian candidate.
