I just saw the new Fiat Punto TV advert, and it said that the green colour for their cars is not available. This reminded me that someone had once told me that no one makes green coloured cars. Am I mistaken or there some truth to this?

Green is available as a paint colour from just about every car manufacturer.
However, many people believe that green is an unlucky colour for a motor vehicle, so green cars are not so popular.
(Don't ask me why, I can't think of any reason why green should be seen as unlucky!!)

someone is pulling your leg mate. There are hundreds of green cars on the road throughout england, scotland, wales, ireland. I have a green punto sitting outside the door. It is my girlfriends. I havent seen the advert but can assure you, green is available for cars in Britain. I just looked out and my neighbour has a green focus

I saw the Fiat advert too. Yup, it does say (in their 'italian job' style movie) *green colour not available.
Some companies do offer a green option, but it's not really a popular colour these days in the West (all black & silver) so they are unlikely to spray 10,000 green cars and maybe only sell 100 of them!

Not true... most manufacturers have a green colour available. And Morgan will paint your new car any colour you like.

Back in the day when racing cars were painted in national colors, All British cars were British Racing Green... I would find it ridiculous that there were no green cars being sold in the UK today.
