The genes in an egg would have mutated to be slightly different from the parents so the egg came first. The parents would have been very close, but with the slight difference caused by the mutation resulting in hatching something closer to a chicken (or hen if female).

The egg. Another creature that was very similar to the hen had the egg, and the hen came out. It's like how humans now evolved from cave men who evolved from monkeys- we're all very similar.

It does not matter if you believe God created the animals or if they are a product of evolution the hen came first . Either way the hen had to be made first .

egg, my theory is that some animal (probably prehistoric) laid an egg, but it mutated into another animal, in this case a hen.

It's funny some boy in my bio class asked the same question....my teacher just laughed and did not answer the question.(everyone else in my class found it funny too).........I was wondering the same question..i would say the egg,because the chicken had to come from some where................here's a question for you.........which came first the baby or the adult?.............these are tough questions.
