I like it! No weird spellings! You had me at Paxton not being Paxtin, Packston, Pakstin, or some other weird variation. As for having several alternatives for nicknames? Good job! Seriously. This allows your child to change nicknames if they ever meet another Paxton (not likely, but one never knows with the way baby name trends go) who goes by the same nickname. SO much less confusing.

I like the name Paxton Joseph. I can't really give you any suggestions but I have five sons and a sixth one on the way. The names of my boys are Daryll Bracken, Stephen Nickolas, Brent Hayden, Shaun Klusener, Jonathan Archer and the sixth one thats gonna be here is gonna be called Louis Kendrick. I hope it helps. Choose a name that you both like so you dont regret it. Good Luck.

Congrats! You came up with a great, strong name for your boy. And the nickname P.J. is just too cute! I love the name: Paxton Joseph and it flows so nice with Smith.

Paxton is nice. Just remember that whatever you name him he has to live with it and kids are very cruel. So before you go off with them uncommon, made up spellings of names see how they can be made fun of and twisted around.

Hayden John. This sounds so good-looking! Hayden is a sprint trendier and unisex, yet John incredibly evens it out! Jack John. Sounds stupid. the two names are a million syllable, and then Jack is a nickname for John. Tyler John. This sounds nice too, yet Tyler isn't my widespread. Connor John. They sound too rhymey! i like Connor regardless of the incontrovertible fact that! Louis John. Kinda previous sounding. My widespread is Hayden John.

I'm not so sure about Paxton, make sure no kids can make fun of it first. I don't like Joey so much either but hey it's your baby.

I like the name Paxton, Joey is ok, but I like your reasoning for it.
