I have been sitting here for 20 mninutes trying to come up with a good answer, and a million things have crossed my mind, I could write an essay, but no single thing seems relevant enough to be a good description of what time actually is. I have come to the conclusion that time is a concept we learn and understand well, but find extremely difficult to actually define. great question!

Time is the order of events in life. It is a very relative thing, and it only exisits on earth and in this life, for example if a man spends a year in the outer space, it would pass like a month to him, and he would't age. I believe that every thing has already happened, it is like a TV series of 1000000 episodes, and before the first episode is shown on TV, the whole series has been already acted, and the vedio tapes are on the shelf, and everyday one episode is played, but the end has already happened, we just don't know it yet...

The imagined measurement of duration. The 'thinking/knowing' apparatus that separates you from the universe forces you to view this living as a subject/object experience. The idea of time is put there to create space between the imagined subject 'you' and the object 'universe'. It only exists in 'thinking' through the acquired 'knowledge' you have been given.

Time is a symptom of your pathology / sickness.

Time is an organizational comcept the brain creates in order to make sense of the world around it. Time as a linear device doesn't actually exist.

Did you know that the latest neurological research has shown that there are 4 separate steps to sensing pain. Our nerve endings pick up the pain, the signal gets sent to the brain, it gets sorted out and a signal sent back to the nerve endings, then it registers in our brain and is given a time sequence that's backwards. In essence, we sense the pain in the future and it's referred back in time for our brains to acknowledge. How's that for a linear timeline?

The most pragmatic answer I can give you is: A nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future.

Time is the past we've lived; the present we're living and the future we're awaiting...if death doesn't come in the way! Time is something that you can't get back! Time = Life! Life is time...Life is the time where we are awaiting death and life is a clock and a clock shows time we're losing...like now
Thank you :-)

Time is a moment in your day or life where something is occuring. It may seem meaningless or dynamic at that very moment, but over the course of days, weeks, and months, those moments or "time" that you spent doing nothing/ something eventually shape who you are/become.

Good one. I think you are enduring agony, 10 min is a life time. On the other hand when intense pleasure is enjoyed, a life time isn't enough.

I would have to say that time is made up of all the events that we perceive as they pass us by and continuously make way for new ones. I also believe in a reality where time has no meaning, and I have come to this conclusion by asking myself this:

I have often wondered to myself what it would be like to be in Heaven, and I have come up with a very interesting image of it!!

Now imagine yourself materializing into another realm/plain of existence beyond what we can detect in our mortal reality. When entering (Naturally as an angel), you feel totally weightless (With no pressure anywhere not even on your feet as if you are freely levitating in outer-space with total control over where you want to go "knowing that no harm of any kind will ever come to you", and being able to move at any speed, in any direction you wish, with still feeling no pressure). You then feel an infinite number of different emotions that are so mysterious and beautiful that are far beyond anything that we can even begin to imagine in our mortal realm. You then realize that you are totally cleaned of all evil thoughts, pain, etc. You also feel as if you are made entirely of the tingling sensation (A lot like the one you get when your foot's asleep), and feeling as if their is an infinite number of beams of pure white light going through your entire spiritual essence from all angles at all times. This would make one feel truly free/refreshed throughout every fiber of their spiritual being. Also being able to experience a countless number of nothing but awe inspiring sounds, positive/enlightening thoughts, sights/images, emotions, etc. Then you realize that you are hearing, seeing, etc, a complex mixture of all the positive/heavenly experiences of everyone their (Including yourself), so that every angel truly knows each others positives inside and out, without question (Both from their mortal lives and lives they are living in heaven). The visual sights/environment in Heaven would be a mixture of every ones positive experiences, thoughts and so on with everyone having true 360 vision (Sights/images beyond our mortal imaginations I am sure). You then feel as if you are truly a part of an infinite all knowing knowledge (Truly without question, being at one with God and everyone else their), feeling as if you are a part of a truly loving/pure, ever expanding consciousness (One massive mind of seemingly never ending knowledge that is continuously growing). Within this realm/Heaven everyone their will feel truly 100% whole/cleansed for all time...Is this what Heaven is really like??!!!...I guess only time will tell.......
