A friend strongly believes that he is in for catastrophe and obstructions whenever Mercury goes "retrograde" astrologically speaking. I know this idea was popular during the Middle Ages. I think my friend's anxiety about it is CRAZEE but he is very distressed and now fears that he might die when the phenomenon occurs (which it does 2x a year for a month). Any insights on this?

I was born with mercury retrograde so this is actually a good time for me! When Mercury goes backwards look to the events that happened during the last 30 days of forward motion- you can revisit these issues.You will notice that communication can be affected- either the message never get their or it is misinterpreted, electronic items break more, travel is likely to be affected by detours, traffic jams, even a flat tire. Tell your friend they also believed eclipses marked the end of the world in the middle ages and they were wrong then too!

About the greatest catastrophe' that will happen is :
Something get's lost in the mail - (that could be a good thing)
People forget their change - (that could be good for someone else)
Printers malfunction due to the users thinking is not as clear as it should be and they forgot to turn it on...
All forms of communication tend to get delayed, or miscalculated usually due to human error and not reading the fine print.
The key to Mercury retrograde? Read the fine print before signing any contract, and don't rush.

Mercury retrograde is usualy just an annoyance for people .. weather its simple communication errors or technology breaking down when u need it the most. if hes expecting a catastrophe then he's over estimating it.

We are in one right now. It mostly affects communication, electronics, and thought/plans. It is not a great time to make important decisions.

3 times a year. if he thinks something bad is gonna happen, then yeah sure it will...tell him to stop being so paranoid...change his mentality....you attract things with your thoughts...
