By Chance. Can't really remember the author's name right now but it was the first ever romance novel I read. I fell in love with romances after that. It was one of those old dusty harlequins. That got you all warm and fuzzy and believed that any thing at all was possible. I loved it and still have it.

The Prize by Julie Garwood.
It introduced to me the author and I have since bought every book she owns and she occupies the top shelf of the bookshelf nearest my bed. Awesome author!
