First of all it is not a crimes for an adult to vist a porn site, if you are over the age of 18 or 21 depending on what country you reside. You could consider a crimes, if you were to chat on a chat room site, tried to pick up a minor, this is a crime.
Go to your IE toolbar, open, open Internet Options and delete all your history, temp, folders and cookes.
Go to start, search and type in "jpg", and after your pc scans, make sure you don't come up with any photos. If you do just delete them.
Here is a free excellent program that you should use as it will clean or system of all junk files, (actually you can select what you want cleaned). and will also fix registry issues, and back them up to your documents the issues that were fixed.

Don't be "embrarrased". You are an adult and not a minor.

I don't believe there is any way that you can get the history back after it has been deleted. And I'm talking as a computer geek. Your best bet would be to google (or use your search engine) the site. If you don't remember the name of the site, put in keywords about the site that would help the search engine find the site. I have done that before too. I like keeping my history clear, but then I will remember a site for something and it is gone. Right now I can't find a site that that happened to me, so I know how you feel. Next time tell your niece about how you would like her to be careful and not delete things without permission next time. Hope you find your website. Good luck!

In terms of jail, it depends if you are looking at and if that content is restricted in your state. But you can easily delete the information permanently by using an internet privacy software. You have to perform a "secure delete" to remove information permanently. This is the only real way to erase information off of magnetic media. This works by encrypting the data and deleting it many times over until its nothing more than unreadable code. Shredding is another technique but not nearly as effective. Also. The US Dept of Defense endorse "secure delete" as the only way to permanently remove data. Check out this link. A third party deletion software will cost you about $25 but make sure its endorsed with the US DoD santization procedures. I really thinks is the safe way for you to go if you are worried about getting caught.

If you are not the computer's administrator it is possible they can find out. Many of these type of sites install malware causing adult type pop-ups as well. You might want to take the following steps to ensure nothing has been downloaded.
Firstly update and run your anti-virus product. You can also run a free online scan as well as some malware can actually corrupt or disable your resident security products. Here are a few online scans you can run:
Trend - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Panda - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm
Norton - http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym
Second download, update and run scans using the following products:
SuperAntispyware
http://superantispyware.com/
Spybot S&D (free version requires manual updating)
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/
AVG AntiSpyware
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/20/lng/us/tpl/v5
Adaware from Lavasoft (free version requires automatic updating)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
(These programs can be run in Safe Mode after downloading and updating)
Third, after cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process.
Lastly, you may also want to install the following tool. It is free and requires you to check for and enable updates manually once a week or so. It uses no system resources.
SpywareBlaster (inoculates, not a spyware removal tool)

================================
If you cannot get it removed after the above, you may want to join a tech group that specializes in providing manual instructions on malware eradication.

I would also recommend trying/using "TrackEraserPro". It deletes histories, temp files, and WMP history among numerous other things, including Limewire.
It can be found at:
