what exactly is a BOT. and is there a way to get rid of them permanently from the yahoo game

A bot is a yahoo ID that was created to scan participants in the games or in chat. Bots are used for either keeping a room or game open or for spamming you to death to buy something or visit a site. Unfortunately, since Yahoo games and chat are not moderated, there is not much to do. You could get a program like YTunnel but that will only help for the YMSG (messenger) protocol and not so much the web based version of things.

a BOT is short for Robot. It generally stands for any automatic program that acts like an agent or human.
Bots can be used for many purposes, in yahoo games they are used to mimic a human player to play games.

The term BOT is an shortened form for RO BOT, it is commonly used in computing to refer to programs which perform thier tasks without human intervention. for examply automatically responding to web-pages, or viruses which collect information. (spy-BOT's). Web crawlers (used by search engines) are BOT's.
