I KNOW WHY I DO.
and why do other fans support their clubs ?

why do i listen to meatloaf instead of take that ?

not because meatloaf is more successful, but because i like to be entertained, not bored to death with the same old drivel.

simon t: i don't support MANCHESTER UNITED because they have the best club or the most amount of silverware or the loudest fans, but its interesting another liverpool supporter thinks that way.

to the forest fan, my point which seems to be lost on you, is the fact i don't listen to take that, i listen to meatloaf, not because hes successful but because he entertains me, GET WITH THE PROGRAM.

forever embedded in my brain is the fact that liverpool yuk have won 17 old first division titles, this is not a reason to support a team, and i for one am fed up up hearing about it.

and finally stephen gerrard: you can have a choice to support whoever you like, it doesn't make it right, i just question why you would choose to watch boring football, liverpool and chel$ki have now superceded arsenil as the most boring.

I started supporting in them in the 80s, mainly because my brother supported them and I was always interested in everything he did!!
But I soon came to love and respect them, especially Bryan Robson, even though we weren't winning many titles.

By the way, my brother used to suport Liverpool in the 70s, so for a while, I did too but in my defence, I was only a child and easily lead!!!

I support Man U because I was born and grew up in Salford, I only moved away at 20 because I got married to a bloke in the RAF.
Both my parents are from Manchester and my dad is a United fan (my mum pretends to be but since Cantona left she lost interest lol)
I think where you are broght up has most to do with why people support certain clubs. Others who don't have that kind of routes or the family loyalty just becase they find certain clubs more entertaining I suppose.

Every one in the world support their own team My preferred team is Torino is not in the first division but since 1954 was the best team in the world they have more championship than Milan uventus or Real Madrid but in 1954 they wan the last European cup and on the way back to Torino the plane crashed on the Mount's killing all the team.So is very hart and take time to build a no then great team but I still love the team because they have the best school in the world for young most the best super star for the national team they came from Torino school

Man U supporters today aged over 60 years old probably support them because of the Busby Babes.

Supporters aged 40 - 50 years now probably support them because of george Best, Denis Law, Bobby Charlton and the team that won the European Cup in 1968.

Supporters aged between 30 - 40 years today support them because even though they went through a thin patch being relegated a couple of times in the 70's remained an attractive team to watch.

Any supporter between 5 years old and 20 supports them because of their success under the leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Why do I support Spurs? Being born in London, believing them to be an entertaining side to watch. I've seen them win two UEFA cups, 3 League Cups, 3 FA cups, which, even accounting for lack of success in the Premiership is not a bad record. we have only been relegated one season since 1958.

In conclusion, both Spurs and Man U are attacking sides and not dirty. That's my opinion. At the end of the day, you make a choice about a club, and you support them through thick and thin.

I'm from Ipswich and I support Ipswich and Man Utd

It started in the 1990 FA Cup semi finals when I was 8. Liverpool were playing Crystal Palace and Man Utd v Oldham.

My brother had been given a Liverpool shirt for Christmas so he was supporting them so I had to hate them, and I thought the most likely team to beat them were Man Utd so I started supporting them!

Man Utd's Semi and Final were both amazing games with a late late goal for Hughes in the semi and then the final going to a replay - I became instantly hooked!!!

I'm an american, so I have no local club to support, but my dad is Danish so I started supporting them because of Peter Schmeichel. Also, although the reason may be a bit silly, I always played with them in FIFA for playstation, so I guess that contributed too.

You always favour those that do thier job best, if you were raised in a family of football maniacs then you probably would support a local team however, if you were not and had to pick a team you would pick a team which does what they are paid to do entertain, there is no diubt Manchetser United do that.

I support Man U as my dad did and we just grew up watching and supporting the team.

I do think their manager is the best in the world too and when they are good Man U can be 1 of the best teams in the world.

I dont know why my dad supports Man U as we have never lived anywhere near Manchester!

I too love Meatloaf! lol

i support Man U because i find it more worth of my time and life.

Simon T....just continue supporting your team. Scream as loud as you can with your so-called loud fans. But still i dun see any improvement in your silverware cupboard.
