Quite the opposite is true (unless a yellow car is being deliberately targeted by a maniac motorist!). A yellow car, especially of the shade chosen by VW for its 'modern Beetle', is much more easily seen under all weather conditons than other colours, since yellow is in the most sensitive part of the visible spectrum. (NB I noticed this effect earlier this week when driving late afternoon in a torrential thunderstorm.... a yellow 'Beetle', in a line of cars approaching through the horrendous spray, was visible at quite a distance even without its lights.. Other vehicles were, in effect, just an amorphous grey mass.)
You will note that police and other emergency service personnel wear yellow jackets/ tabards for precisely that reason, namely, that yellow makes them more visible under all conditions.
In answer to a similar question some time ago, a Mercedes report was quoted as declaring white the most visible car colour - but this has not been supported by other research. Indeed, the former UK GPO, some city fire tenders, etc., were painted yellow to increase their visibility - and most ambulances have yellow/green-tinged paintwork.
A few years ago a survey (by either the AA or RAC) found that dark blue was the colour of cars most likely to be involved in road incidents. Incidentally, when you are next on a long trip in poor visibility, make a mental note of the colour of those cars _not_ showing any lights. I think you'll be surprised at the results!

I do not agree with this statement for I owned two yellow cars, a Ford Puma 1700 and a MG TC and people commented that they always saw me coming. Also they were great cars for spotting when you forgot where you parked.

You are less likely to be hit as yellow cars appear larger than they actually are.

No, actually, it's the other way round.
Statistically, yellow cars are the safest to drive as they can be seen easily in any lighting conditions

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this page is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I like them and do not see any more damage on the Yellows that the other cars on the road. I guess you have some information on the subject.

A new driver is more likely to be hit in any color car, due to inexperience. I have never seen any stats on any particular color car being prone to collision. My concern about car color is, would I be more likely to be targeted by the police for a ticket!

I think it's a green car that is more likely to have a crash.
