Chickens rarely come home to roost for politicians; it is the gift that power and money keeps giving.

: Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but those billions of dollars in U.S. military and State Department contracts mentioned at the top of this article are coming out of the pockets of U.S. taxpayers. Also, there is a U.S. law, dating from the late 1800s that flat out states the U.S. will not hire private militias or mercenary armies. The 25 ArmorGroup employees tragically killed represent one-one-hundredth of the numer of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq, yet the military troops are paid squat compared to what the private security guys are paid. Meanwhile, in an article posted a few days ago at Free Internet Press, four American families have to be told how their family members were killed while working for Blackwater. The families want to know and have a right to know. They have not recieved an answer to the inquiries to Blackwater in more than two years and have sued the company to find out what how their sons or husbands died and why. Blackwater's response to the families' lawsuits was to sue them for $10 million rather than simply tell them the truth. In the past six months, there have been several articles where U.S. military combat personnel - enlisted and officers - have complained that they have witnessed these private mercenaries open fire on unarmed Iraqi civilians, wounding of killing them, for no reason, and that this has made the soldiers' jobs more difficult. And I cannot help wondering why none of what I've just written was mentioned in this article because it should have been. My gut reaction is that if these "private security" men want to play soldier in Iraq so badly, they should join the U.S. Army, Air Force or Marines. Of course, they'd have to take a huge cut in pay if they did that.

George Bush somehow convinced Blair that he was the "King" of the world. Wow, Blair is probably stunned that King George could not save his job!
Blair caused his own troubles, because he was "warned" by Bill Clinton NOT to get to close to Bush Jr, but Blair refused Clinton's advice, silly man!

We ALL knew Bush had no post war plan.
Shame
Up until that point I would have given Blair more credit for brains.
But when you wrestle with a pig....
