To be honest, I would go easy on the fruit, I know people think fruit are cool and they do need fruit (Im not aruging that!!) but fruits are sweet, and in my humble experience, they become very used to sweet foods and start to go off the savoury stuff like veges. If you give her veges with dinner then fruit with lunch or something would be great too, Im just saying not to go overboard on the fruit (Yes Ive learned my lesson!!!)
All my kids loved Sweet potatoes and pumpkin :)
Goodluck, I dont know you from a bar of soap, but you sound like you love your daughter very much, how cute is that!!

Serve fruits and veggies and do not be afraid to try new things. Feed the babe until she lets you know that she is full. Sometimes adding rice or cereal to make food thicker and the hun fuller could be the problem. As long as the veggies and fruits can be handled by her then try variety. If you want to upgrade a little and try flavored oatmeal by Quaker for a variety of taste for a meal. With veggies go for color first: orange and yellow. I have found out it is something about that green that is not as appealing. You are doing good. Keep it up.

At four and a half months? The short answer: NO. Until she's a year old, her primary nutrition is formula or breastmilk. Solids are for learning and practicing.
Now, that said, if there's been ZERO decrease in the amount of her breastmilk or formula feedings, she might be going thru a growth spurt, in which case, you can give her a little more. But, I would go with the "icky" green veggies over the sweet stuff (like carrots or sweet potatoes)

I started my son on a mix of fruits and the rice cereal. Gerber makes a mix already, it is a little easier than mixing, but now he is 6 months and I have began with the dry cereal and mixing it with fruit and veggies, and he loves it. I was told by my pediatrician to feed him as often and he wants and as fast as he wants it. She said since this will be the type of food he eats for the rest of his life he should get used to it. But if you are really concerned call you pediatrician. Good Luck!!!

My daughter was the same way, I just slowly began giving her more solids throughout the day over a period of time and she adjusted well to it . I couldn't and still cant get her to eat her cereal in the morning with out fruit in it she just refuses. So I would say you could, just do things slowly so that you don't shock her digestive system.

Of course its OK! Feed her as much food as she needs. I used to mix the baby food with her cereal. So just take the sweet potatoes and mix it with her cereal. I assume your breastfeeding and that is why your concerned about how much baby food she should be getting. Because I waited until five months to give mine baby food. But when I did, she got food when ever she wanted. She is a growing infant and she needs that nutrition. So indulge her. Just make sure it is healthy choices you indulge her with.

Canistel Carambola (technical call for megastar fruit) Cashew Chempadek Cinnamon Clove Davidson (it particularly is a sort of Plum) Durian (tastes like cream cheese and onion) Malay Roseapple (good first center mixture) Matisia Rambai (sounds like a grape, grows on a tree) Rollinia (custard apple) those are my fav veggie names. back, those are all actual names of vegetables. Amaranth Anise Basil Canola Cardoon Chayote Cilantro Daikon Endive Jicama Kiwano Kohlrabi Purslane Quinoa Radicchio Rosemary Sage Tarragon
