maybe you mean what would your cemetery stone say (what epitath you wanted on that stone), because obituaries merely state the date you died, they list the spouse, the family members (kin then grandchildren or stepchildren), which church you belonged to, which cemetery you will be buried at, the time the service will be held, etc.

my epitath would probably not say anything because I'm the last in my line with no one to follow directives for any stone.

if I were to choose though, I'd like something complimentary, cause they say you should never talk badly about the deceased.

I know Spike Milligan (Died 1983) coined it first, his gravestone bears the words, but...

SEE I TOLD YOU I WAS ILL!!!

After some wrangles with the diocesan authorities it was decided to put it into gaelic...
"Duirt me leat go raibh me breoite", or "I told you I was ill", and the English words "Love, light, peace".

When the actor Paul Eddington was asked what he'd like his epitaph to be (he was dying of cancer- this was his last interview), his answer was
"He did very little harm"
That'll do for me

She worried too much, if she had nothing to worry about she would worry about having nothing to worry about. God rest her, let's hope she's now worry free.
