1993 federal education budget - 32.4 billion
2001 federal education budget - 42 billion
2007 federal education budget - 67.3 billion

1993 federal pell grant budget - 6.4 billion
2001 federal pell grant budget - 8.7 billion
2007 federal pell grant budget - 13.6 billion

The last time we had a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress .

Federal Education Funding was CUT 16%
from 32 billion in 1993 to 27 billion in 1994.

So why do people keep repeating the myth that democrats increase education funing and republicans cut it ?

Why? Because people listen to the media and the negative rather than do the research themselves.

Intentionally misled voters. Nancy Peloci was going to end the "Culture of Corruption". Yea, right. Earmarks are still king in Washington and the Democrats are leading the way right up to the Democratic head of Ways And Means committee. Both parties need a wake up call, just wish there was a good 3rd party alternative. We need more Joe Liebermans.

Its called media spin....the media has turned into a tool for the democrates and are deceiving this nation.....I'm for one not sure that throwing more money at education will fix it...I think its time to go back to the 3 r basics and to get rid of all the social indoctrination going on in our schools...

I think the federal government should get out of the education business entirely. No one in the government teaches anything to anyone. Taking tax money from one person and giving it to another is redistribution of wealth aka socialism. We don't need it.

Clinton also balanced the country"s budget! Bush now has us trillions of dollars in debt! My grandchildren"s Grandchildren will be paying this off! YAY Bush!!!!
