Father is the man that from the first day of our life till he makes us a Man or a Father too: help us, nourish us, care us and do all that, that makes him the 'Dad' and above all the other in the world.

What is your story, something special you remember he has done for you? What and how?

My dad is d best (i know almost every1 thinks so). He taught me everything in my life. I am what I am bcuse of my father. He has been there for me no matter what. Inspite of the fact tht I have hurt his feelings smetimes, still he cared about me like noone else does. And because i cant say this to him in person, I am writing this all over here. Papa, you r the best. Thank you a trillion trillion times for everything. and Please always be with me.

Mum and Dad contributed to my upbringing in different ways. Seeing this is about fathers, my most valuable learning was scientific method, statistics, and my passions - electronics and astronomy. These were nurtured, educated, errors patiently corrected, and the continuing support that something was almost always possible. Several times I exceeded my own expectations, which came about through belief everything was possible.

Constantly explaining why my perpetual motion machine ideas would not work, explaining conservation of energy, the laws of motion and thermodynamics. Explaining in simple terms (when I was little) and expanding upon these as I got older. Constantly bringing complex explanations back to simpler terms of physics (which I eventually learned and thoroughly understood).

An open mind towards new ideas, especially spiritual beliefs. Tolerating ideas he himself did not believe in. An open enough mind to accept some of my hypotheses in later life (such as atheism).

At 21, I joined my husband in The Netherlands where he was stationed on the AF Base. Weird, just enjoyed being there with my husband, and the couple from whom we rented an apartment had a celebration with some Pepsi Cola and little candies. They may have had a drink or two, but I never could drink. I never thought of my birthdays then much. I was just happy to be where I was, and the trip was a birthday present, because my husband sold his much-beloved Plymouth Coupe to pay my way there and back.

Well I really love my father, and I personally feel, that he is one of the best father in the world. He did what all he could do for me. He gave be good education, helped me in almost all the problems I have faced.

He never made any excuses in monetary matters, he always spent without showing any concerns on my need, and more over he really loves me.

My Dads taught me to respect women. Why don't you want to hear from them? I think you might want to consider rewording your question. Your Mom played an instrumental role in your being here. Peace out.

My Father was a very strict Mormon, and he raised me to believe that women should be the best they can be in order to be good mothers. He also saw a lot of himself in me, and was covertly partial to me over my older (retarded) brother and younger sister.

I was able to recognize his strengths and mistakes as well, and I miss him very much.
