Battle of the Bugle in WWII Easy Company 2nd Battalion 506 PIR 101st Airbone Division was outnumbered and out gunned in the battles for Foy and Noville. Easy Company had better leadership and better training, and used team work to defeat the superior German forces.

Battle of Cannae. Or almost any battle with Hannibal. Any battle with Alexander the Great when he was fighting Darius. I believe Marathon and...oh...Caesar when he fought off the Gauls (can't remember the battle name off the top of my head). For modern look at the Battle of Rorke's Drift.
