Glasses have to lens and scissors have two blades.

Because glass have 2 lens
and scissor have 2 holes to put your fingers in.

I always wondered that about pants.
Pants, slacks, trousers, whatever you want to call them.
Now that I think of it, why are they called "trousers?" Do you "trouse" in them?
