My mother was the disciplinarian in our house. I had a stepfather as my biological father was killed in an automobile accidental when I was a very young child. She used an Avon hairbrush on my rear end or a tree branch and would make me bend over and stand there while she dealt out the whacks. When I got to be a teenager, the punishment became grounding to my bedroom for week increments. She was strict about it, also. One minute past curfew, just one minute, I was grounded. Also, curfew was 9 PM Sunday through Thursday all the way through High School (up through age of 17). Friday and Saturdays, age 16-17 was 11 PM, while on a date. By 17, unfortunately, I married. :O(

I got spanked (with a hand, no belts or books or anything).
Time outs (that was more kindergarten than anything).
Now I get lectures... even when I'm NOT in trouble I get 'em!
It's hard to say what my punishment is nowadays... my dad constantly has to lecture me about something and if I make a point that's opposite to what he says he thinks I'm being defensive and when I'm defensive he sees that he has to go on until I change my mind. I figured out how to tune out his lectures when I was 6, it's that bad!
Nothing much really, I don't get in much trouble. Worst I ever got was only being allowed on the computer for like, an hour a day and two hours on weekends, but I beat around that by saying I was doing homework.
NOTHING works on me, I find loopholes EVERYWHERE.
Either way I don't have to worry much anymore.

Well I used to live with my grandparents. And they were notorious for grounding us. Most of all to the 74 acre backyard. But of course that was the greatest punishment of all.

Spankings, none of this go to your room, your grounded, or I'll take away your cell phone stuff. We got our punishment, and learned not to make the same mistakes.

I didn't "get it" much but when i did it was awful. The worst was not being able to talk on the phone or no television. There were a few spankings though. A belt or I had to pick my own "switch" . If it wasn't green enough, my mom would go find her own!

Sit in my room at a school desk and stare at a school book till it was bed time. A lot of the time this would go on at least half the school year. It really puts a damper on ones social skills.

My parents took everything, no tv, no radio, no music, no playing outside, no friends, no phone, no nothing. Alli had was my toys in my room to play with and a few books to read and that was it. It was a very lonely childhood.

My Dad would say if we were fighting with each other we could kiss and make up or get a spanking. We always took the whipping.
