Well I want and hope the Chargers will win the Superbowl. The early LV odds show them as the favorite, they have a star studded team, and I dont think the coaching staff wont mess it up to much next year, but I think the biggest question mark will be with Phillip Rivers. Last year he showed that he can be a great quarterback, but had alot of questionable games at the end of the season which were masked by victories. If Phillip Rivers can play like a Pro Bowl QB all next season and through the playoffs the city of San Diego will be celebrating its first Championship next Febuary unless the Padres beat them to it in October.

Rivers is still a young QB, so this year he should be better, and he was good last year, so he should really be a leader. LT will be LT and they wont have a problem running the ball. that Core offensive Group and their offensive line should keep them in the hunt, and have an edge over the other teams in the Division who are all rebuilding. Shawn Marriman is a solid player. This is probably one of the most fullest team in the league. I can see them making it far into the playoffs. There is never a sure thing. but to win the division, i would definitely put my money on the Chargers. Sob. i miss Drew Brees. I like the Saints too, so its all good i guess.

Chargers have alot going for them. They have the best RB in the NFL in Tomlinson and the best TE in Antonio Gates. Their QB is young, but has a great deal of potential and skill. They have a great defense that can respectively compete against any offense. BUT...they severely lack a solid receiving corps, and in order to have a proficient passing game they will need to rely on more than Gates and Tomlinson. Plus they are undergoing a new coaching staff change, which will hinder their chances for success. They will have a good season and definitely make the playoffs with all of the talent they have on the team, but I dont think the Super Bowl is an option for them this season

I don't. New coaches and new schemes equals disaster. They still have some of the best players in the AFC but they're playing in perhaps the toughest division in football and I think the Broncos will come out of that division. The broncos have two shut down corners and SD has no WR's except for a TE so Denver'll just put Champ on him again. With no threat of deep balls, they can stack the box on the RB's and pretty much shut down that Off.

I think San Diego is a good team, but only a wild card team and they may not get out of the 1st round. Denver, New England, Indy, and Cincy to win divisions. KC, Pit, or NYJ to get the other wild card. I like Denver and NE in the championship game and would like to see Denver win but I think NE is too good.

By the way, being a Packers fan, I hate the Broncos. I'm just keeping it real.

No.

The running game will continue to be excellent with a very good running line, the best fullback in the league, and a pair of excellent running backs. However, this division is loaded with runners and this factor alone won't win the division.

The passing game will be mediocre once again and will cost them the division. I can only imagine Philip Rivers trying to force one of his lame ducks in against Bailey and Bly! :)

The defense will be good but is overrated. The loss of Edwards is going to hurt and I have serious questions about Merriman's effectiveness now that he is under scrutiny as a drug abusing freak. It remains to be seen how his speed, strength, and aggressiveness will suffer the loss of his steroid shots.

The kicking game will remain among the league's best.

The coaching staff is going to be MUCH worse than last year's. They replaced one of the most successful head coaches with a mediocre journeyman. They lost two of the best coordinators in the league. Coaching is a huge area of concern.

The Chargers will make the playoffs as a wild card and will lose to the AFC North champion (probably Cincinatti)

Looking at the players you would say its a big possibility but then you see the new coach.

The team's talent should have won them at least 1 ring. But Norvill has been dealt the cards. He must respond to the fans and cooperate with coaching staff cherrypicked and controlled by the front office (AJ and ... oh, I guess its just AJ). LT and his supporting cast deserve a championship.

Chargers are going to win the Superbowl. They have LT and Antonio Gates on the offense, and Shawne Merrimane on defense

Nah chargers aren't going to the superbowl cause they don't have any receivers and their cornerbacks suck big time.
