Carbon dioxide is the problem, Its creating a film (simple explanation) around the earth not letting harmful rays from the sun to escape back out of our atmosphere holding them in causing the temp of the earth to rise....this changes global climates and causes a change in the environmental balance......Watch the Inconvenient truth by Al Gore he breaks it down somewhat simple. But has a very one sided view that the global warming- is because of us....I say we maybe helping to speed it up but weren’t not the full blame. & hey who says the earth doesn’t change like this every billion years? we have been tracking history the last 2000 years of which only the last 200 years have been really worth a crud (because of science advancement) so take the earth at 4 billion years (or so) and 2000 years of record tracking that is a lousy % of time studies to base conclusions on. I say we need to chill out continue to find ways not only to lessen carbon output but find away to remove what is already released as well........

I have heard that the carbon emission and the toxic materials in our atmosphere causes global warming but I could be wrong about that. There are many people still debating whether global warming is a natural occurrence to the Earth or if it is real how much humans are contributing to the problem. I would like to see more debates and scientists really trying to understand global warming in more of a public setting to give the public a better understanding of global warming.

the cause of the global warming is the green house gases. like CFC( chloro floro carbon) CO2 and other. during the night the earth is cooled by loosing its heat to the space. but due to excess amount of these green house gases this heat cannot transfer from earth to the space. because the is gases work as a blanket. so the temperature of the earth increases. with the increase of this temperature the glaciers starts melting and the level of sea increases. so there is a risk for the submersion of the coastal areas. some days back in the conference of G8 the developed countries stated that they will decrease the level of co2 up to 50% by 2050.

Before there can be causes, there MUST be a problem....
Before you can have a problem, there MUST be "PROOF"....
ACTUAL, SCIENTIFIC "PROOF" of which there is NONE!!!! Speculation, computer simulations, conjecture & over paid hypocritical talking heads are NOT "PROOF"
(of global warming anyway)

NO "PROOF"
NO "PROBLEM"
NO "CAUSES"

The only problem that we do have "PROOF" of is that lies & scare tactics make gullible people who haven't the brains or the backbone to make up their own minds hand money over by the fist full so they can continue to be spoon fed hype & B.S. that "PROVES" there is a fool born every minute & a fool & his money are soon parted.....

I live in Alaska where we just got over the coldest winter we have seen in MANY MANY years. Al Gore is a moron who couldn't find his own a** with both hands & he is talking about global warming..He is a hypocritical blow hard who is jumping on a band wagon. Is he a scientist? does he ride a bicycle or drive an suv? Does he fly commercial or still charter private jets? He has been flapping his gums & pointing fingers but is just NOW remodeling his over sized house to make it more eco-friendly? B.S. he is so full of it, like the rest of the Democrats that......
Oh My Goodness!!!! "THEY" are the cause of global warming!!!!!
Democrats = B.S. = methane = contributing to global warming......
Figures, we all knew those huge piles of crap the Democraps keep spewing would start to stink, HERE IS YOUR "PROOF"!!!!

Global warming is caused by the 'blanketing effect' of gasses in the atmosphere.

In other words, certain gasses act as a blanket, trapping heat in the earth's atmosphere.

These gasses include carbon dioxide, the primary gas produced as a result of the burning of petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, etc.), as well as coal and wood.

Unless we accelerate our use of alternative energy sources, scientists say that global warming will speed up as more & more of those gasses trap more & more heat within the atmosphere...

green house gases. they trap more heat than our atmosphere. when the suns rays hit the earth, we absorb both light and heat. in a normal cycle, some heat would be absorbed while the rest is radiated back into space. but green house gasses (liek CO2) which is created through burning of fossil fuels, gets stuck in our atmosphere. they trap heat making the earth warmer and warmer. think of the greenhouse gases as a blanket that the earth is wearing. it traps and insulates heat.

daily active life and the resourses we use

if you can picturethis at one time 3500 years ago at the least the earth was more quiet and calm , no cars, factorys, no major tourism in the arctic and helicopters, boats in the seas and oceans ,EVERYTHING !!!!! polution, chemicals cause breakdown in water and atmosphere , heat droughts, traffic traffic, traffic ,,,,manmade changes in the land

tho that is probably not really the answer you wanted....

I recommend you watch "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore. It's all about global warming and though it may be a little biased, it'll give you what you need. =]
