How do the tellers at the bank determine if you have placed the exact amount of coins in a coin roll?

I mean what if you forgot one coin. Could they tell?

Is it possible to cheat the bank, or will they somehow know?

Like coin collectors, bank tellers at least ones that have been around a while, can tell by looking at them or comparing one roll to one they know has the right amount. Actually it does not mean much, for the world won't come to and end if a quarter roll is short a quarter. Anymore than that and you have to much paper in the roll left and anyone can spot that. My bank trusts me, I don't have to put my name or phone number on them, maybe it pays to live in a small town and do business with a bank, that has branches all over the place.

No.
Our bank has you put your name and phone number on them. Usually they will count your coins for free if you are a customer anyway. They have large machines that do it.

They make you put your name and address on the coin rolls so they know where to send the cops if you do it.
