Stay strong. Maybe you just need to take a couple of days for yourself. Lock up in your room, get a book, watch some TV. Do you have any other relatives you could go to stay with for a few days? It sounds like your just physically and emotionally exhausted and like you just need a break from the whole situation. I know what you mean about being shy. I'm 18 almost 19, I've only had like 2 close friends in my whole life, never had any friends through out school, and just recently god my first job b/c I've been scared of how people will preceive me for so long. I know it's tough. If you need to talk about things and you have no one else to go to you can email me thru yahoo answers. I know i'm a lot younger than you and I'm a total stranger, but the offer is on the table if you want it. Good luck. Stay strong.

it dosen't sound like your home is a productive place to be in. I am sorry to hear about your parents but don't perpetuate their life. Go out on your own and thrive - you are better than that!

I know this sounds cliche but join the military. You get a roof over your head, uniforms, a well paying job and probably even an elistment bonus. You get to travel the world and depending on which service you join they'll even pay for college.

There are so many opportunities out there, you don't have to live on the streets, find a job save some money and go out on your own, you can do it.

I think you and your mom should both go to counselling.. it sounds to me like you are suffering from mild depression.
You don't say if your dad is living with you but I take it he is not... Nor do you mention if they are legally married.. if so there are things that your mother can do to have him help her out through the courts but this can take a long time.
If your mother is not working, a job would be in order..
And please for your own good, do NOT live on the streets.. life is not easy and you would only sink deeper into depression.. and worry your mother more.
Maybe there is a place you can call for advice in your area..
I do hope you look into every possibility and there are places on line to meet people and make friends in your area..You will have to try getting over your shyness though..
I hope it all works out for you...and please seek the help you need..

If you are able to work, find a job. New freinds starts at work, also. You and your family need to come together and communicate on how everyone needs to contribute into the house. I know that you and your mother is trying, but maybe if you can talk to your dad about contributing, it may work out better for the family and put a less strain on you and your mother mentally and financially.

Dear friend,
If you are prepared to believe that accepting Jesus Christ as your only God and personal saviour can bring about a new lease of life, as he had done with millions of people , fall at His feet and cry your heart out to Him. The Bible, which is the word of God, presents Him as an everlasting friend. Try Him and trust that He has Power to transform you and your negative situation totally. Only this would be a permanent solution .

why would you want to live on the streets..?

Even with SSI can you still get work? Is your mother having trouble finding work or can she not work.?

Tell your mom to stop doing things for your dad. If he is not helping with money then he can take care of him self,
