You don't have to shave anywhere you don't want to.

I've heard everything now!
You don't HAVE to shave anywhere.
If its for you - it is personal preference
If its for someone else i.e sexual partners - its their preference

Ask yourself do you want others to dictate what you do with your body and especially something as personal as body hair.

And the guy who answered that you should to avoid smells might have a problem with natural female odors and indeed be missing out!

The purpose of pubic hair has been hotly debated although it is known that underarm and pubic hair is to absorb sweat and to reduce friction and chaffing but to some extent it is thought that in humans that its only purpose is now as sexual display as other purposes are obsolete now we walk upright and do not need hair for warmth

But it has also been suggested that pubic hair helps to retain certain glandular secretions - pheromones - that are supposed to be a powerful aphrodisiac, so if you shave it you will smell to your sexual partners like the products you use and not like you

This is up to you, if you prefer to smell like a manufactured product even in your most intimate area - by all means shave

But no one HAS to.

You don't have to do anything...if it bothers you get rid of it by shaving or waxing, but watch out for the pain/itch/regrowth factor. If you partner wants you to remove it then you can. If not you could just trim it with little scissors if you find it irritating or leave it if you don't have a partner and you're still young.

I'm assuming you're just getting into puberty. In that case, welcome to the wonderful world of annoying body hair.

I'd say just trim VERY carefully, not too close, but you don't have to do anything at all if it doesn't bother you. It probably won't unless it gets long and thick. You could shave around your bikini line, but I hear it itches like crazy if you shave all over.

By your spelling, I am guessing you are kind of young. If you just started growing them, and you are unsure of what you want to or are suppose to do with them, talk to a trusted female adult, like maybe your mom, and Aunt, or an older sister. They will be able to talk to you a little more and explain some thigns about your body and chages it goes through to you.

If you like showing it to people or some person, go for it. But do note that once you shave it, you'll constantly have to shave it because more grow back thicker.

Don't shave, you'll grow ingrown hairs, and then your private will be all itchy. Waxing/trimming is the way to go!

Shave to keep yourself free from germs that hang around long hair and to keep the smell factor down.
