Mohan can do a piece if work in 20 days &karim in 25 days .They work together for 5 days & then Karim left .Mohan will finish the remaining work in how many days.

if the total job is x, define the daily rate of work of M as X/20 and K as X/25
in five days the work completed is
= 5 * (X/20 + X/25)
=X/4+X/5
=5X/20 + 4X/20
=9/20 *X
the remaining work is
=X-X*9/20
=11/20 *X
that work will be completed by M in
=(11/20*X)/(X/20)
=(11/20*X) * (20/X)
=11 days
