Despite having far less money and press coverage as the front runners, darkhorse GOP candidate Ron Paul is off to a great start online, getting more internet hits and gaining more supporters than any other GOP candidate. As the only GOP candidate with a strong anti-war message, I believe Ron Paul may be able to pull in enough support for a big upset.

Paul is getting strong support on the Internet. The term "Ron Paul" has been measured as the top Internet search term by Technorati.com[68] since May 9, 2007, which ranks popularity in the blogosphere. The U.S. News & World Report article titled "Ron Paul's Online Rise"[68] states "Technorati spokesman Aaron Krane confirmed that, to the best of the company's knowledge, the online support for Paul is genuine.

Remember Howard Dean? He didn't have this much support this early.

I serously doubt it. Even though the internet will most likely play a significant part in the next election. a candidate can not win an election based solely on internet support. The simple fact of the matter is a candidate still needs significant air time on the major networks to reach the older segments of the voting population that do not surf the net since it is primarily the older people in the US that vote. Also, the internet mainly reaches the under 35 age group, and statistics show that this is the group LEAST LIKELY TO VOTE IN AN ELECTION!

Ron is a Trojan Horse !
He is only pandering to the swing voters of both sides with a PHONEY stand against the war and Bush's policies.
He knows lots of folks are getting a clue of the truth.
If a candidate were to connect with the huge numbers of Americans who know that Bush is the worst President, the election would be a landslide victory !
This 'war on terror' is a fraud against humanity, and must be ended now !
None of the candidates on either side get my vote..yet.

To have a chance at all he is going to have to win (or at least 2nd) in New Hampshire. He would gather alot of attention if he can pull that off...and that would lead to hope, and a dramatic increase in followers if such a thing could happen.

I wish him luck. I like what he stands for, and hope that he does.

Yes, he could. He seems to be the only one on track with American voters. He needs some more name recognition. Newspapers, radio, etc..
