without! i've tried the stuff, and when they start to emerge......the sprouts get hampered by the stuff!

the seed without gel will grow faster,cause the gel covers the seeds outer layer so no shoot or root will come out.thats why the seed without the gel will grow faster.

Try putting seeds on a wet papertowel in a plastic bag. Transplant when they sprout.
