Vista is a very demanding operating system. If you do not have a better than average computer that is fairly new, it probably cannot handle Vista. You will have to upgrade some of the parts on your computer or you may just want to buy a new one that has the "Vista Ready" sticker on it.

vista is a work in progress....I hated it from the start but laptop came with it and I thought I would my hair out....you really , really need to read all info you can before getting into it. Go to microsoft site or the magazine pc world it has great readings on vista....I suggest getting better internet cuz if you have dial up that stinks with anything..if you dont have good patience go back to window xp cuz this vista stuff is stressfull I can tell you that from experience!

buy a copy of Windows XP Professional and install it. get that Vista POS off your computer, it is the worst operating system ever.

I tested OS's for Microsoft for many years and they never had a problem releasing software with many know issues. Vista is definetly the worst OS I've ever seen, and I've been working on computers for almost 30 years.

Reminds me of when I had to take my new computer back to circuit city, because the new windows XP would not let me use my older software. I still use windows 98, I will not buy a new computer if it is only a windows player and doesn't give me acess to the whole machine. You may want to try Firefox, it doesn't come with the built in problems that windows has.
