Bonds had said before the season started that me MIGHT consider coming back for 1 final year, even though many had said that 2007 would be his last. I personally hope that it is, I hate the guy............who doesn't?

Pushing aside all the petty, hateful troglodytes...
At the end of this season Bonds will be within, oh, 70 hits of 3000. Having accomplished pretty much every other offensive milestone or record he could have, he'll probably want that one too. If some team is willing to sign him, he'll be back.
And he still won't have a championship, which is the one thing he wants and cannot achieve alone.
Hello, Yankees. Bonds in pinstripes -- what a way to finish.

After Bonds breaks the records he'll having nothing left to prove. He's played long enough and it's not like the Giants are in the hunt for a World Series title.
Also, I think the Giants would rather spend the $15 million set aside for Bonds on pitching instead.

This will be Bonds last year with the Giants and if he doesnt break the record, he will go the American League because he is not in the best shape to play Outfield. I think he would hit around 15-25 HRs if he played 1 more year

Although he has not officially said this will be his last year, I honestly think Barry has gotten tired of the talk about steroids and the focus on him braking the HR record. Unless he gets injured and doesn't get the record, he most likely will hang it up. He'll probably end up with between 765 and 770 homers.

you know, i really hope it is, i have had more than enough of mr bonds. this is a guy that had a lot of talent, and he would have been known as one of the games greatest homerun hitters, but that was not enough for him, he had to do the steriod thing, and now his image have been tarnished forever. there is no way for the baseball fans to know what his real totals are or will be. what mr bonds does not understand to this very day, is that in order to break a record, any record in any sport, you have to have played on the same plane as the person whos record you break, in mr bonds case, the homerun record. once he did the steriod thing, he was no longer on the same plane as hank arron, babe ruth, or rodger maris. all of these players set records through their talent, mr bonds did his with talent and drugs. once you add the drugs in, then mr bonds did not break any records, what he did was set new records for a new catagory of the game of baseball, homeruns on steriods.

No - I don't think he has another year in him. His body is falling apart as we speak and most people treat him like crap (not that he doesn't deserve it) There's no reason for him to be back because he will have broken the record already (assuming we're not lucky enough for him to suffer some terrible injury). My guess is he has about 15 long balls left in the tank. That puts him at 762.

We can only hope so!! The Giants are stuck with him forever, and they will never win with him, so let's hope he goes away!! He may not break Aaron's record, and we can all hope that he doesn't!!
Chow!!

IF he breaks the record this year, and he probably will, yes it will be his last year. If he doesn't break it, he'll be back until he does.
