The castle in Disneyland is Sleeping Beauty's castle, not Snow White's.

When Disneyland opened in 1955, the castle was Snow White's Castle. However, with the release of Sleeping Beauty in 1959, the name of the castle was changed from Snow White's Castle to Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

...and now the original Disney princess Snow White, doesn't have a castle :(

It is officially Sleeping Beauty's castle, but I never knew it was originally called Snow White's castle! I always thought it looked like the one in the movie, too!

I wonder why they would do that?? Poor Snow White, all she gets now is a little wishing well full of pennies! That stinks! Especially since there's another Sleeping Beauty castle over in Hong Kong Disneyland and one in Disneyland Paris (should have been Belle's castle, from Beauty and the Beast!) And Cinderella has two, Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland. They should return it to its original name!!!

Per the web site:

http://www.justdisney.com/disneyland/history.html

"Fantasyland was created with the goal to "make dreams come true" from the lyrics of "When You Wish Upon a Star." Walt said:
"What youngster. . .has not dreamed of flying with Peter Pan over moonlit London, or tumbling into Alice's nonsensical Wonderland? In Fantasyland, these classic stories of everyone's youth have become realities for youngsters-of all ages-to participate in."
Fantasyland would feature a large SLEEPING BEAUTY CASTLE, and a Fantasy Village."
