Population specifics refers to the characteristics of a population. This includes birth/death ratios, economic level, class, education, etc.

One concern realtion to this could be the number of individuals in poverty as compared to the whole population.

Population specific means there is a defined group of people, known as a population, for which the disease or condition applies. One example is sickle cell anemia which is population specific for people of black African heritage. There are diseases specific to almost every preserved ethnic grouping such as Eastern European Jews, Russians, etc.
